The Stone Ridge International School celebrated a momentous occasion on 21st August 2023 (Monday) , as it hosted a dual event - the Investiture Ceremony and the Board Toppers Felicitation Ceremony. The event was a remarkable showcase of academic excellence and leadership, showcasing the school's commitment to nurturing both character and intellect in its students.
The ceremony commenced with grandeur as a colorful parade escorted the esteemed guests of honor, Mr. Rajesh Saluja, the Managing Director of the school, and Mr. Sanjeev Stephen, the admirable Principal. This was followed by the pinning of badges onto MD sir and Principal Sir, symbolizing their pivotal roles in shaping the school's future. The traditional lamp lighting ceremony, a symbol of enlightenment and wisdom, added a touch of solemnity and tradition to the event.
One of the highlights of the evening was a mesmerizing Saraswati Vandana Dance performed by the school's talented students, a homage to the goddess of knowledge and arts. The Investiture Ceremony began with the administration of the oath, led by Head Boy Deepansh Awasthi. The Head Girl, holding the school flag, and the Sports Captain, bearing the sports flag, were joined by the captains of the four school houses - Unicorn House, Griffin House, Phoenix House, and Centaur House - as they lowered their flags in unison to pledge their dedication.
Each council member, resplendent in their sashes, received their badges from MD sir and Principal Sir, signifying their commitment to their roles and responsibilities. The Investiture culminated with the entire school joining in for the School Anthem, a display of unity and pride. A stunning patriotic dance performance by students added to the patriotic fervor of the ceremony.
The Head Boy and Head Girl delivered speeches, one in Hindi and the other in English, reflecting on their roles and responsibilities and expressing gratitude for the trust placed in them by their peers and teachers.
Following the Investiture Ceremony, the spotlight shifted to the Board Toppers Felicitation Ceremony, where the academic stars of the school were recognized and rewarded. A total of 12 students achieved an exceptional feat by scoring 90+ marks in their respective board exams, with Bhaviyanshi Sharma securing the highest position with an impressive 96.2%, closely followed by Divya Sharma with 95.6% in the class 10th board examinations.
MD sir delivered an inspiring speech, emphasizing the importance of holistic education and applauding the students for their outstanding achievements. Principal Sir also added words of motivation, encouraging all students to continue striving for excellence.
The event was graced by the presence of the Parents of Parliament Members and the Board Toppers, adding to the celebratory atmosphere. The day concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks and the National Anthem, symbolizing the unity and pride that resonates within the Stone Ridge International School community.
